Those Who Walk in Darkness1944-04-25AFRS program name is, "Mystery Playhouse." A man's eyes have been successfully operated on...maybe! The doctor who performed the operation is still in love with the patient's wife. Boris' calm voice is filled with unspeakable horror. Or as Peter Lorre observes (with a slight chuckle), "An eye for an eye."
The Final Reckoning1944-05-02George Miller is leaving prison after twenty years, and is determined to get his revenge. The scene with the razor makes for delightful radio. The title of next week's show is, "The Hunt." Possibly one public service announcement has been deleted.
The Hunt1944-05-09What kind of creature rips out the throat of its prey? Could it be a werewolf? A good story!
The Walking Dead1944-05-16Hosted by "Dr. X." A visit to Haiti and a romp with the zombies. The date is subject to correction.
The Six Who Would Not Die1944-07-11AFRS program name: "Mystery Playhouse." A good adventure yarn about diving for pearls in the South Pacific. The voice of "Brill" (the ship's evil captain) is remarkably similar to "Bluto" (the eternal rival of "Popeye"). That's not much help, as at least 9 actors portrayed Bluto on radio and film. The fill to time is the start of a "Mr. and Mrs. North" program. The story title might be, "The Six Who Did Not Die."
