The Gentleman Jockey"A program of transcribed music and common sense." The first selection is, "The Dance Of The Clowns," by Rimsky-Korsakov. The music is scoped. The speaker feels that General Eisenhower is a soldier, not really the head of a civilian government. Governor Stevenson is more eloquent and effective. More music follows. "American men of today are the fattest and laziest men in history." Skinny women used to be described as, "Scrawny." "Communism is a self-liquidating affair." "Communists are "stupid." Russians want to substitute the birthday of Stalin for the celebration of Christmas. This recording is either unedited tape or a rehearsal. When the speaker makes an error, he just reads the line over again. "If you've seen one movie about Africa, you've seen them all." An exception is, "The Ivory Hunter." A spectacular entrance by Billy Rose and his wife...for their divorce. This 45-minute program (if the music was not scoped) of commentary and opinions has no recognizable connection to the program name, nor is the speaker ever introduced, nor his name mentioned.
