| Horatio Deals With a Mad King | | 1952-07-07 | This is the first program of a 52 episode adventure. The programs were also broadcast by CBS and ABC at least five different times. A word about the titles of the individual stories. No copies of the scripts written by Philo Higby and produced by Harry Alan Towers have yet been found. There's an excellent chance that the 52 programs had no titles or, the titles indicated in this compendium may be correct, or for that matter incorrect. The story titles I've used (or variants thereof) seem to be universally accepted, both by academic works about Mr. Forester as well as by naive individuals who will copy anything in writing as "authentic." With that caveat, these titles are hereby presented. The series itself has been called, "The Adventures Of Horatio Hornblower" and other variants. The credits for all 52 programs are the same as for program #1. |
